Rick has over 35 years in the residential mortgage industry. He started in the business as a loan originator in the early 80’s, and by 1988 was one of Nevada’s largest volume producers. In December of 1988, Rick was recruited by Weyerhaeuser Inc. (a Fortune 500 company) to manage their Las Vegas retail branch operations. Over the next 10 years, Rick grew the Las Vegas branches to be the largest and most profitable branches within the company. At the same time, Rick was promoted to Vice President and subsequently to Senior Vice President in charge of Weyerhaeuser’s western operations. When Wall Street’s mantra changed in the 90’s to “get back to your core of business,” Weyerhaeuser sold its mortgage origination business, along with many other ancillary businesses. Rick decided it was time to grow his own business and in 1999 started a net retail branch loan company called Premier Mortgage Lending Group which grew to be one of Las Vegas’s largest private mortgage lenders with a solid reputation for excellent service and for doing what they said they would do. With the recession on the horizon, Rick exited the mortgage business in 2006 and sat on the side-lines for several years. In 2011 Rick re-entered the industry forming a mortgage brokerage called Premier Mortgage Lending. Premier Mortgage Lending went on to become the largest mortgage broker in the State of Nevada. Rick saw the winds of change blowing in the mortgage industry again in recent years, and determined that it was substantially better to be a mortgage banker than a mortgage broker. So in July 2019, Rick closed down his brokerage and joined his forces with Nevada’s largest private held mortgage banking company, All Western Mortgage. Rick now holds the position of Regional Sales Manager at All Western Mortgage.
